Gerald,
I, too wrestled with this problem, I had downloaded the Demo of Informix WGS for Windows NT from the
informix site, and I was trying to get Delphi to Connect to the Database. I have it working now,
and it is actually quite simple. I went back to the informix site and downloaded the "newest"
version of the WGS Package, specifically, the client for Windows NT / Windows 95. When you run
the setup program, it gives you the option of which products to install. Select ONLY the Informix
CLI product. This will install the Latest ODBC Driver and I-Connect. Once installed, Delphi can
see the Local Workgroup Server database as well as an SE Engine I have running on an attached SCO
box. If you need the details on the actual settings I used for setnet, path, informixdir, etc,
let me know.
