Different releases of C-ISAM & SQL

I have a customer with Informix 4GL RDS 4.1 tools and 5.0 engine who wishes to access Tetra 2000 accounting files which are based on C-ISAM 3.0. System is running on SCO Unix (ODT 3.0). I can create a database and do the appropriate links so that I can access the files (tables) using 4GL. I have not tried to write from 4GL to these files.
