New Server Configuration

We are moving our informix database and software application to new hardware in a few weeks. I am looking for any suggestions on how to configure the hardware and informix for optimal performance. HARDWARE: SunFire V440 (4 CPU, 8GIG RAM) Sun StorEdge 3510FC (12 disks - 36gb/ea) We purchased 2 of the above hardwares for our DR site. We are planning on using HDR for replication. Our biggest bottleneck with our current setup is I/O WAIT. If I plan to use RAID 1+0 disk configuration then would I still be able to take advantage of table fragmentation? Just wondering how other people have overcome the bottleneck of I/O with proper disk configuration. Thanks.
