You silly twisted boy. Have you ever tried getting boiling water to make tea in an American company (or restaurant)? Think again! They have no idea that water needs to be boiling to make tea. Of course, the Boston Tea Party might even have been an attempt to make tea, American style, and given the temperature of the water they were using that night, it's not surprising they only drink coffee.
