To Tim Wajke: mail bounced

Tim asked about the tablespace number 1000002 in the tbstat -k output. I believe this tablespace tracks users. I'm not sure what Informix calls it internally. It's like tablespace tablespace in that it's a "phantom". Every time a user accesses the engine, there's a lock on this tablespace. From the "1xxxxxx" number, it's in the rootdbs. The name of the user can be found by grepping for the owner's address (from the tbstat -k output) in the output of tbstat -u. Does anyone else have more details about this tablespace and also the "1000003" tablspace? Tim, netcom cannot decipher your host name, so I'm posting it here. This is a much bigger and better brain trust anyway :> JOe -- --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Joe Lumbley(jlumbley@netcom.com) Dallas, Texas author of: INFORMIX DBA Survival Guide from Prentice-Hall/Informix Press ISBN 0-13-124314-4 (12431-3) Now available in bookstores orders: orders@prenhall.com (515) 284-6761 fax (515) 284-2607 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
