RE: Using <GROUP BY> rather than <DISTINCT> This looks to be the answer I was searching for. I received similar advice from Neil@Storm Software, and I believe it solves the problem. <GROUP BY> is processed quickly, with the same results as <DISTINCT> (in my example, anyway).
