Habe Informix 7.30.UC7-1 auf Suse Linux 7.0 installiert. Es kommt folgende Fehlermeldung AT_D ???? kein oninit -i möglich !!!!

Because this is an international group we should better continue in english. What irritates me is the german error message. IDS speaks only english unless german message files are installed. Is it possible, that typing "oninit" calls a wrapper script, that blocks the -i switch? What is the result of "type oninit"? Does it point to a script? Usually it makes sense to have such a script to avoid incidentally destruction of all databases in an instance by typing oninit -i Hope this helps Paul

Hi, this looks like Bug 97140: IF DBSERVERALIASES IS DEFINE WITH MORE THAN 8 ALIASES THE ENGINE ABORTS DURING THE ASF INITIALIZATION PHASE WITH ERROR 25507 This bug is fixed IDS 9.20.UC1 according to the release notes.
