The problem with Version 5 is that when you perform an archive, you *must*
archive the entire OnLine system --- that includes all databases and
tables.
In addition, if you want to restore, you *must* restore the entire OnLine
system.
Unless you've got the raw data archived in some other format --- you don't
have
many options other than the one suggested by Informix.
Archives and restores in version 5 have never been the products strongest
feature.
Version 7 allows you to archive at the dbspace level, so in affect you can
place
specific tables within specific dbspaces and archive/restore as needed.
Are there any other ways of recovering the table (using tbcheck utility)
to repair
the corruption?
