RE: ESQL/C, NewEra or other ?

You can use any tool you are comfortable with, if you use ODBC for database connectivity. For instance you can use VisualBasic, Delphi, PowerBuilder, Visuall C++, NewEra, C, .......Just make sure you have an informix ODBC driver so that you can connect to the database with these tools.
