Hi,
i'm new to Ifx. Are there any tools like there are for Oracle with Toad,
SQL-Navigator,...? I must recognize that i don't like dbaccess very
much.
thanks in advance, michael

Informix has a free WinXX program on their WEB site known as the
Relational Object Manager which you can download. It is a graphical
server navigator with SQL/Stored Procedure/Trigger and other editors.
Personally I really like dbacces, but there's no accounting for taste.

I too like dbaccess (I liked isql even better :-)
But there is a tool called WinSQL ( http://www.imranweb.com/
) that is very nice. Uses ODBC (and thus can connect to virtually any DB).

Hi Michael,
You can also try SPL Workstation. It is designed specifically for Informix
and includes graphical database explorers, color-coded editors, stored
procedure interactive debugger and other stuff.
You can download a copy from www.agsltd.com
