It isn't sufficiently an itch for me to want to fix it - if you need assistance in satisfying your itch, by all means ask. If you have a Cygwin environment and ESQL/C installed and enough of the environment set to be able to at least generate C code from ESQL/C source, then the process should not be dreadfully hard. I just find setting up MSVC too complex to be worth the trouble, and when it does compile stuff, it makes ludicrous assertions about POSIX-compliant functions being non-standard when I've explicitly requested support for them. Oh, and MSVC doesn't have C99 support, which is also a crippling defect in the compiler. -- Jonathan Leffler #include <disclaimer.h> Email: jleffler@earthlink.net, jleffler@us.ibm.com Guardian of DBD::Informix v2008.0513 -- http://dbi.perl.org/ "Blessed are we who can laugh at ourselves, for we shall never cease to be amused." Dear Jonathan, the problem ist the ESQL/C precomiler. It doesn't work under Windoes 2003 Server 64bit with cygwin. See: http://www.iiug.org/forums/ids/index.cgi/read/20035 Does it work your side? regards, Dirk
