I prefer 1-4, with a marked preference for #1. One thing that nobody's brought up is that management- and HR-types read newsgroups too. If they see enough: Wanted: Experienced Informix DBA. Six figure salary ads, it will make all of our salary negotiations a little easier. Also, doesn't www.informix.com still mirror this newsgroup on their website? comp.databases.informix.jobs would be nice, but it's not a trivial task to set up a new comp* newsgroup. Anybody want to do the paperwork and handle the voting?
