I have installed some IBM AIX & HP/UX 9.xx and 10.x machines for 8 to 100 users. I have never must change a parameter for INFORMIX by AIX. (by HP/UX you must change a lot of parameters!!!) The only parameter you can change is the maximum processes allowed per user. I think the default value is 40 (smit, change/show characteristics of operating system(AIX4.2)) and thats ok for 50 users with informix online V5 and r4gl V4. Live long and prosper! Patric
