RE: Are logs any use in a no logging database?
Posted in 1996
This may be true for OnArchive (I'v) never used it. Yet I beleive ontape
will not allow the dbspace back up. I was talking a WHOLE config restore
and I belive that was the orginal question. I know it will work, just did
one yesterday (In testing) on 7.12. Back-up dropped the dummy DB, then
restored and my Dummy DB (with DATA!!!!) returned.
I never backup the LOGs to tape. I have log outside of log DB. Just answer
NO to the backup and restore questions concening the logs.

} 1. No!
