Can someone :comfirm or deny this? Thanks. If by "32 bit Inet" you mean I-Net for Windows 95, yes officially this was at least true until very reasantly. As NewEra ver. 2.11 runs under Windows 95 there must be an I-Net included with that product. You might be able to get some runtime version (or deployment library as Informix seems to call it) of that product. The fact that, so long after Windows 95 was released, there still isn't a separatly available I-Net, advertised and supported, distributed to ODBC and other connectivity vendors, upgraded to make it easy to install and administer is totaly, 100%, utterly, fully crazy to my mind. Even if it has been released reasently it's at least a year to late. (It should have been available during the beta periode of Windows 95 and released simultaneously with it.) If you have no success in getting I-Net for Windows 95 there is a 32 bit I-Net for Windows NT that comes with ESQL/C for NT. At least the I-Net part works fine with Windows 95 (at least when we use it to run Cognos Impromptu). I don't know if the ESQL/C part works. To get this product from Informix you have to order ESQL/C for Windows NT. If Informix gets wind of you wanting to use it on 95 they'll tell you that is *not* supported, and you can expect no help in getting it to run. (Luckily c.d.i. exists, so you'll still be able to get lots of help if you need it.) They still require you to pay for a years support contract though. But they won't give you anything for that money. We must live in a strange world... Sorry for the strong wording here, but it's written shortly after having read about the delay of NewEra. Informix's standing is genarally much better than it could seem from this (their database technology is clearly the best there is by far currently). My gripe now is why Informix do these "little" things so badly. Also there are alternatives to I-Net, particularly ODBC drivers that don't use I-Net. I claim full copyright to this statement, and expressly prohibits it's use by anybody but Informix for any purpose but posting comments here at c.d.i. Any such comments are greatly appreciated.
