Steven does make a good point: one needs to select an appropriate system for one's needs, and none of Encina, Informix or Tuxedo are universal tools. I would recommend reading some of Gartner's reports on the relative characteristics of these products to understand where they would be best applied, rather than engaging in general oversimplification. -Mark
