Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
In a continuation of the licensing thread, DA Morgan and Obnoxio The Clown argued about whether Oracle DBAs are asked to take over DB2, SQL Server or IDS systems, and the exchange turned into personal insults with Two Pence. No licensing or technical content was added.

Perhaps you live in a cave.
It is something that happens all of the time and I have taught Oracle
DBAs to transition to DB2 and SQL Server manys times at quite a few
companies.

did i mention i like nulls? heck, i even go so far as to say that all
columns in a table except the primary key could/should be nullable. this
has certain advantages, for example, if you need to insert a child record
and you don't have a parent row for it, just do an insert into the parent
table with the primary key value (everything else null), and voila,
relational integrity is preserved. but this is, admittedly, a bit
controversial among modellers.
