Any ideas anyone? > > thanks, > When you "turn on DNS for sendmail"? As the default environment for Sun is not DNS, you also have to swap the sendmail.cf and related files with the sendmail.cf-dns (name?) files -- look at the networking guide -- the files and changes required are hidden in the Networking chapter. That took care of a 1-5 minute remote service access problem (until we replaced the Sun box) to Informix. ljt
