But seriously, if you must use KAIO, assuming that it is actually implemented in you OS (you do not specify your platform), you will have to tune the OS kernel Asynchronous I/O services. Usually this means adding more AIO threads/servers to the OS. Talk to your sysadmin or Hdwr vendor. Art S. Kagel
