Re: INFORMIX WORLDWIDE: "BUSINESS CASUAL"

This is getting to be a very interesting topic of conversation. It just shows the difference in standards in different parts of the world. In the last message somebody said that business casual was what you would wear to eat in a good restaurant. WELL - Over here - ABROAD as it were - many "good" restaurants insist on a jacket and tie. It's slowly disappearing but there are still many restaurants that apply that dress code. From my observations at 2 previous conferences the dress code generally is Monday - Tutorials - Casual but presentable. i.e. no T shirts, Jeans, etc but NOT suits either. Somewhere in the middle ground Tuesday - Conference sessions - generally a higher standard of dress. It is still not necessary to wear suits but most people had a tie! Wednesday - Ditto Thursday - As many people are leaving to fly out Anything Goes!!! I do hope this helps. Malcolm Weallans Online Database Consultancy Phone 0628-72154 Fax 0628-37463 CIX - onlinedbc
