Does anyone have any idea how to make Online Workgroup servers
communicate with each other on different platforms?
We have the following configuration.
Windows NT: Informix Online Workgroup Server
================================================
database server name: ifmx_nt
host name: nt@myhost.com
protocol: olsoctcp
service name: turbo
/etc/services has the entry
turbo 1526/tcp
registry entry LOCAL_MACHINE
/informix/sqlhosts has the following entries
------------------------------------
ifmx_online olsoctcp ux@myhost.com ifmx_srvc
ifmx_nt olsoctcp nt@myhost.com turbo
Solaris 2.5: Informix Online Workgroup Server
================================================
database server name: ifmx_online
host name: ux@myhost.com
protocol: oltlitcp
service name: ifmx_srvc
/etc/services has the entry
ifmx_srvc 2055/tcp
sqlhosts has the following entries
------------------------------------
ifmx_online ontlitcp ux@myhost.com ifmx_srvc
ifmx_nt ontlitcp nt@myhost.com turbo
Any attempt to connect from one machine to the other (server to server),
ie. use dbaccess on unix side or database explorer on nt side, fails to
connect. Error code is -93.
We have admin tools on Windows 95 can connect to NT database server but
not unix database server.
Any suggestion is appreciated.
