Locking & ODBC

Any MS Windows ODBC <--> Informix programmers out there? I am trying to figure out how to perform record locking with Q&E's odbc library. Can anyone tell me how to just lock a record and not mess around with transactions (email repies would be nice as I might miss them otherwise.) Thanks AlexMC
