Maybe you'll need I-Net anyway, so it will be ESQL/C vs. CLI. I don't know what's best there, since I have never tried CLI. I would tend to think ESQL/C is a more proven solution, if that matters to you. Of course you can also do your programs in Informix 4GL in this scenario.
