Simon, you have to make sure that: 1) The "services" files on both the PC and the server contain an entry for "sqlexec" with the same port number. 2) In the home directory of the login you use on the server, there is an entry for your PC in the ".rhosts" file. 3) The I-Star/I-Net daemon is running on your server. You ARE using Inet/PC 5.0x, aren't you??? Version 4.1 does NOT support the Windows Sockets interface! Did you do a "finderr" on error 932? It says the following about Inet/PC: If you are using INFORMIX-NET for Windows, this could be a Windows Sockets problem; check your Windows Sockets 1.1 documentation for more information. Check the sqlerrm field of the sqlca structure for the particular Windows Sockets message.
