I-Net Win3.51->4.00??

For various reasons, I need to run an application client on 7.1X I-Net. To go to 7.20, I'd have to recompile and run through our re-testing process, so I need to use 7.1X. 7.1X is available on Windows 3.51 but not on 4.0. So, I need to install a 3.51 INet7.1X on a 4.0 system. I've seen articles that indicate that the install does not work right, but once installed, it works fine. I've seen that when you upgrade a 3.51 machine containing 7.1X INet to WinNT4.0, it works fine. So I need to find out the tricks needed to install the 3.51 INet on the WinNT4.0 machine. Has anyone done this?
