Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Nog wanted Perl DBD::Informix and PHP pdo_informix working together under one Apache (1.3.41, mod_perl 1.30, PHP 5.2.13, PDO_Informix 1.2.6, IDS 7.3x/11.5x). Once the PHP module loads, Perl connects but then hangs and times out. Clive Eisen and Alexandre Marini said each works separately and pointed to the Developer's Handbook for pdo_informix. The combined problem was not resolved.

DBI and DBD::Informix - yes
pdo_informix - yes
Why do you ask?

Alexandre,
Thanks for the reply and sorry I wasn't very clear - I meant at the
same time, or at least configured and available on the same apache
server. I want/need to be able to use our older perl (DBD::Informix)
code and at the same time allow our developers to use PHP
(pdo_informix) to develop new apps. Currently I can build apache with
both Perl and PHP support but as soon as the PHP module is loaded the
Perl interface to informix stops working, it will connect to the
database but then it locks up and eventually times out.
Apache 1.3.41, Mod_ssl 2.8.31, Mod_perl 1.30, PHP 5.2.13, PDO_Informix
1.2.6 - I have also tried apache 2x
IDS 7.3x and 11.5x
regards
Yes. The second option.
Currently pdo_informix is the method used by OAT to access the Informix
database, in a very easy way.
You could see some examples on the IBM Informix Developer´s Handbook.

Best regards.
