yes, the services file exists in
%windir%\\system32\\drivers\\etc
the entry is "sqlexec 1525/tcp" and it is unique
registry, ...SQLHOSTS ...
ive set
HOST to "my_computername"
PROTOCOL to "seipcpip"
ive also tried sesoctcp but ipcpip should be better
...se32\\CurrentVersion\\Environment
yes, its strange that there are no values there after
installation.
i ve now set two new values for HOST and PROTOCOL
as above.
sysmaster database
hmm, as the connection to the database server is
first, before i can select a database, i just cant
give in a database to connect to; the error message
comes before this step.
no, sorry, the connection is still not working :-(
