DROP TABLE (LOCKING ON AIX)

I am having a problem on a IBM RS/6000 AIX 3.2 running SE informix 4.10/4GL-RDS. The problem is that i am creating a temp table (code to follow) that on the drop, only sometimes, the user locks up, it is like the drop never comes back from the standard engine????? I have DBTEMP set, not that this matters. example: -------------------------------------------------- create temp table vendor_num ( vendor_no decimal(6,0), total_price decimal(9,0) ) create unique index vendor_sum_key on vendor_sum(vendor_no) ### for loop for insert / update ### ... ### declare and foreach for printing ### ... drop table vendor_sum -------------------------------------------------- This example works 95% of the time, i did some display's to find out that this was the place in the code that the program was locking. Since you can not see the output of a report until it is complete..... (or at least i have not found a way to look at the report until then) anyone having this problem? any ideas?
