We are in the process of implementing HP's DP at this very second for our
whole of enterprise backup and DR, and curiously enough the informix
integration went without a hitch, as did SQL Server, however the Oracle
integration required us to recompile ioracle in order to access the
libraries. It was far more laborious and unexpectedly complicated than one
would have anticipated.

I wasn't really talking about the installation of Data Protector and onbar ,
or even taking backups with it. I was referring to the critical issue of
its ease of use and reliability when you need to restore.
I have to say that several people, including one but not all of my
colleagues, and Obnoxio in a private, reckon it's absolutely rock-solid and
intuitive, and it must just be me!
