RE: dbload question

Just some hints:
- drop all indexes before loading (dbschema -d db_name gives you the
commands to re-create the indexes after loading)
- if possible create the database with no log (CREATE DATABASE db_name
IN dbs_name) - this will ease and speed up the load process considerably
- if your database must use a log then make sure your log-files are big
enough to take the logging of you inserts from dbload (or back them up
continuously and set ltapedev to /dev/null in order not to run out of
log-space)
- check in your onconfig file that your values for max locks, etc. are
really high so you don't run into trouble there
These are a few "obvious" things to consider, hope this helps.
(If not I'm afraid you would have to be more specific to attract the
attention of the REAL gurus ...).
