Q: Legal status of SW that Informix does not longer sell or support

Can somebody please say something about Legal status of SW that Informix does not longer sell or support? If I need more copies or license, I can't buy them. If I need support, I can't have it. In some cases, especially with programming tools, one can have significant investment in it, apart from just paying for the license. Training, source code, etc. I fact, one can be quite happy with the product he already have, and do not want to upgrade, migrate, or spend more money. Does Informix have the right to force me not to make copies of software they wont sell?
