Re: Problem with load

I've posted a question about 'load' utility on last Friday and thanks =

It rings the bell to me, as on last Friday, after splitting the 367,000 =
lines file to 10 pieces, and then I loaded them again one by one with 10 =
consequential 'load from xa? insert into mytbl;". 'dbaccess' ran to =
about half way and stopped, displaying an error something like 'not =
enough memory', I found it very wiery but it was time to go home.
'dbload' will make my life very complicated, as in fact, it is inside a =
script which will refresh the test database for our testers.
I have been working with 5.03UC1 on another site, and we used to load =
more than 1 million records per table, and it was OK. I will talk to =
IFMX support today and let you informed.

I have an ASCII file which was unloaded from a database, and it has =
367,616 lines. When I loaded it back to the database, there was no =
error, the engine said that total 367,616 rows loaded. I then ran =
update stat, and select count(*), it said 367,616 records. However, our =
tester told me later that there were some records (with =
task_id=3D1576572) missing. BTW, the 'task_id' is the first field in =
the table and it is integer not null, allowed duplicate values.
I went to Unix and issued following command: grep ^1576572 mytbl.unl --- =
It returned 6 lines, but when I went to isql & dbaccess and ran:
SELECT * FROM mytbl WHERE task_id=3D1576572It returned nothing!=20
