Has ANYONE got any info on this version, release due imminently? There is SOD ALL on the informix or iiug websites. It would appear that there are several very handy refinements, including IECC and ISM (hurrah) that DON'T require us to buy a 3rd-party X-windows compliant tool to run them, also forcing a particular index to a query, quick retrieve of first 5 rows of a large query, case-insensitive searching, but why are informix not issuing any pre-release notes? The latest estimate I have had for the release date is 25/3/98 but that's no use if we don't know whether it's worth upgrading a stable system to an unknown one.
