Hello!! Does anybody knows how to set CLIENT_LOCALE (or GL_COLLATE) using Informix .NET Provider? Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Alberto.
Hi Alberto, If you are using the Informix .Net Provider that comes with the CSDK/Connect (because there is also the Common Client's --Informix and DB2-- .Net Provider that comes with the IBM Data Servers common client, connection via DRDA), then you could use the ClientLocale and DatabaseLocale properties of the IfxConnection class, or the Client_Locale and DB_LOCALE Connection String attributes: IfxConnection public properties http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/idshelp/v115/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.n etpr.doc/netpr031008447.htm There was a DeveloperWorks thread about it, with an example. It is from several years back but it still seems valid: http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=128763 Hope it helps.
