Wierdness - Failure to start errorlog

Folks, We have a single largish application with multiple source modules. In the first module (the one with the MAIN section) we call startlog() - all subsequent modules have historically not needed to make subsequent calls to startlog. Everything has worked well for over a year - now I'm getting an error that errorlog has not been started. Does this ring anybody's bell? 4gl version 4.10.UD2.
