Thanks in advance. -> ->Michael ->m23443@mwvm.mitre.org -> Your posting is a little too brief and too generic to make it easy, or maybe even possible, to diagnose your problem. However, here are a few things that you might check. If this checklist doesn't help you solve your problem, then a repost with more information would help us help you. 1. Are you using a fully qualified file path name, including extension, as "name"? 2. If you are not using a fully qualified path name, are you in the directory containing the file? 3. I have not used tab as a delimiter before. Sure, it should work, but ... Have you tried replacing the tabs with something else, perferably the default delimiter "|"? Since the delimiter clause immediately follows the file name, the command parser may be confused and be pointing to the wrong thing as causing the error. If you repost, please specify environment, and product version numbers, whether you are using DBAccess or I-SQL, etc. Other useful information might include: 1. Exact text of command, not a generalized version. 2. Exact text of error message. Lower priority: 3. (partial) directory listing, showing dir and file name of file you are trying to load. 4. Table definition, and first few lines of text file. Regards, Alan ___________________________ ______________________| R.
