For my sins I've got the Informix FAQ now and I'm busy re-visiting it and trying to get it upto date. Anyone who has looked at recently will see it's a little out-of-date :-) So if anybody has suggestions etc then fire them over to me TIA (maybe) Paul Watson Tel: +44 1414161772 Mob: +44 7818003457 Web: www.oninit.com GO FURTHER with DB2 GET THERE FASTER with Informix. Which is to regularly (once a weekl?) post a random Q&A from the FAQ e.g. from c.l.p.m. This is an excerpt from the latest version perlfaq7.pod, which comes with the standard Perl distribution. These postings aim to reduce the number of repeated questions as well as allow the community to review and update the answers. The latest version of the complete perlfaq is at http://faq.perl.org . -------------------------------------------------------------------- 7.7: Why do Perl operators have different precedence than C operators? ... I imagine that some automated tool does this so the FAQ maintainer only has to watch out for cases where there is an ensuing discussion.
