Thanks! We think the problem is with our version of Informix 7.1.
We are in the midst of upgrading to 7.23 and the problem is not
evident in 7.23

} If interrupting a single session can bring down your database (I presume
} you mean your OnLine system) you have bigger problems. However, the
} easiest solution is for the 4GL programs to include the following:

} program will get an error message to the effect that "Query interrupted
