Hi all,
How can I verify if an ontape is in good conditions? Are there any way to
see the date when the ontape backup was did?
Regards

You can verify an archive using the archecker utility. See Chapter 16.

Just make sure your "bs=2k" matches the BLOCKSIZE (?) of your backup
parameters in $ONCONFIG.
If you are doing ontape archives with BLOCKSIZE set to 256, you'll want
"bs=256k"

Yes, good point Bob, though not true if you are archiving to disk, only if
you archive to physical tape drives. The block size is not enforced when
you archive to a file.
