Recognition Floware & Plexus Appl Designer

Hi folks, I'm a totally new comer to Unix, Informix, Recognition International Inc (RII) Floware and Plexus AD, but my Co. is using the above to develop an imaging system ( using AD ver 4.0 ) driven by workflow ( using Floware Client for MS-Windows ver 2.2 ), and both products use INformix Online 5.02 to store IFAM ( ImageFlow Activity Mgr ) tables together with the application tables. I need feedback regarding these products, especially problems / pitfalls when using them, be it like my Co.'s setup, or individual use of any of them. Another BIG problem I face is that Informix Online 5.02 supports up to 1000 users, where a user is defined as either a connection to appl db or to Floware. Hence I only have 500 concurrent physical users using the system that logon to both Floware and Informix appl db. The sys is meant for 1,200 users; so the chance of 500 concurrent users at a time is very high. One possible solution is to have 2 instance of Informix Online for Floware and appl db resp.
