To automatically start Informix at boot time you need to create a file in /etc/init.d and
link it to /etc/rc2.d/S99online.
The file would look something like the following :-
case "$1" in
'start')
chmod 666 /dev/console
TBCONFIG=tbconfig.dev
export TBCONFIG
INFORMIXDIR=/usr/informix export INFORMIXDIR
PATH=$PATH:$INFORMIXDIR/bin export PATH
/usr/informix/bin/tbinit # This would be oninit gor you.
;;
'stop')
TBCONFIG=tbconfig.dev
export TBCONFIG
INFORMIXDIR=/usr/informix export INFORMIXDIR
PATH=$PATH:$INFORMIXDIR/bin export PATH
/usr/informix/bin/tbmode -ky
;;
