Error -568: Cannot reference ext.db w/o logging

Greetings All: When I run this: database db_no_log; select * from db_with_log:sysusers I get this: -568: Cannot reference an external database without logging I understand why Informix does this, but is there anyway to get this to work if all I want to do is a SELECT?
