Temp tables are only visible to the session which created them, so how are
you verifying that the table exists using dbaccess? (I can think of a way
using the sysmaster database, but it's not obvious. Also, it won't tell
you what session created the table and you won't be able to view it's
contents.)
I do know that Access sometimes makes use of more than one connection.
Each connection would be seen as a different session by Informix. Temp
tables created in one session are not visible in another. However, if your
above example is executed as a single "pass through" query, I doubt that
this is the problem.
You might want to watch the SQL which is actually getting passed to the
server using "onstat -g ses <sessionm-id>" (if you have Online 6.0 or
later). This will also list the temporary tables created by the session
(but again, you can't see the contents).
