SE 5.10 does not have large file support ... You can not have a file >2GB. If I am not wrong, the large file support was added in SE version 7.25.UC1. But, as you said you are not using db*utils to take backup, it has nothing to do with SE. You are doing tar and you are getting the error, that is weird. May be your machine/OS is not configured to have large files. This may be your problem : file(blocks) : 2097151 which is around 2GB, but normally limit command should show : file(blocks) : unlimited for >2GB files to be supported.
