Sybase: Cutting Edge of Software

Just read an interesting news release from Sybase. They've announced that they will have row level locking generally available in their Sybase Adaptive server in Q4-1998. I expect that they will remove the hitching-posts and horse watering troughs from the parking lots of their administration building in Q1-1999.
