Re: IDS/BaaN performance issues
Posted in 1999
It's my expirience that to get the CPU VPs running on different physical cpus on
HPUX, you must set AFF_SPROC and AFF_NPROCS in $ONCONFIG
so when you have a 4 cpu machine and want to run 3 CPU VPs, this would do:
AFF_SPROC 1 # Affinity start processor
AFF_NPROCS 3 # Affinity number of processors
and more
onstat -p shows 421160 Kb memory allocatedif you are only running IDS on this machine, I would double BUFFERS
are you using your disks usage optimal ?
you should run onstat -g iof and iostat or sar to study io
