A couple of months back we migrated from v7.31FD4 to v9.4FC2 (on
HP11.11) with no HPL issue so far .
We use HPL fairly extensively. Even our shell script that generates an
HPL job from the command line was unaffected.
64 bit? Not sure, but it does work with files larger that 2 Gb.
Large chunk sizes? Even with our 1.2 Tb instance, I'm quite happy with
2 Gb chunks... I suffer from the illusion that it provides more
flexibility.
We did run into some minor issues - see a recent post of mine on the
subject.
