We showed Visionary product for the first time at the users conference this year. We were secretive about it because I believe that we had applied for a patent on this technology. Visionary, as the name suggests, was started as a visualization tool in CTO group. Users sees different views as they drill down on a particular item. For example, you see a map of the US and you click on California. This may bring up a view to show all the companies (probably names and logos) in California. Then you click on Informix and it may bring up an organization chart and groups within Informix. Then you select finance department and the financial data about Informix shows up e.g. latest quote and historical charts. All this behavior can be programed without programming !!! Just a few mouse clicks ! This product is not available yet and is still in works. It may take some time 'cause it's still being developed by chief technology office. As you can see now, it's completely different from NewEra and is not intended as a replacement. I hope it helps. -- Satish Katiyar Informix Software, Inc.
