XTERM termcap anyone?

We have SE5.01 and 4GL 4.10 on UNIX. We have many ways of connecting to our UNIX machine. X is one of them. We mainly use the 'xterm' protocol. I have fiddled with the termcap enough to get blinking, reverse, bold and function key operation, but I can't get color.
