How come in ESQL/C, when I prepare the statement "SELECT * from fname where KEY = '01'", all the columns in the record are not returned? The same code returns columns where they are named in the select statement. PS. I'm using: ESQL/C version 7.23.UC6 SE version 7.23.UC13 and ESQL/RT version 7.14.UD1 All of the above are running under SCO UNIX version 5.0.5
The descriptor tables are probably the best route to go because you can run selects against any query and resue the same code. I put together a DLL that use descriptor tables and a linked list to hold the result set - you can try it out here: http://home.sprintmail.com/~mdeverett/infdll.htm Mike USol Martin Purdy <gfu06@dial.pipex.com> wrote in message news:7ac5ne$7ur$1@plug.news.pipex.net... >How come in ESQL/C, when I prepare the statement "SELECT * from fname where >KEY = '01'", all the columns in the record are not returned?
